Editorial Guidelines
Insurance content affects real financial decisions. These are the rules we hold ourselves to.
Sourcing
- Provider facts come from primary sources: policy documents, official provider sources and state insurance department filings.
- Every provider fact carries a source and a review date. If it does not, we mark it [DATA VERIFICATION REQUIRED] internally and hold the page back from search indexing.
- We do not use anonymous forums, unverifiable statistics or invented figures.
What we never do
- Publish fake reviews, ratings or testimonials.
- Use fake urgency or countdown timers.
- Present an estimate as a quote.
- Declare a universal “best” plan without a transparent methodology.
Review and updates
Guides and provider pages show a last-updated date. We revisit content when a provider changes its terms and on a regular schedule: provider pages and pages about prices or costs are reviewed at least every 6 months, and all other guides at least every 12 months.
Independence
Commercial relationships do not influence editorial conclusions. See How We Make Money for details.
